Panasonic TH-42PX60U Review
The Panasonic TH-42PX60U was first launched in mid-2006 and is still considered one of the best value-for-money products in the plasma HDTV market today. This TV combines the best in image quality with an affordable price tag – the primary and real reason for its success. The Panasonic TH-42PX60U has a very good picture quality with enhanced black levels on a very bright display resulting in sharp images and crisp colors with great motion quality. HD is much enhanced and sources are very impressive. With a 1024 X 768 resolution, the Panasonic TH-42PX60U also proves to have a good DVD support for both normal and up-converting DVD players. Connectivity range on this TV is amazing and comes with 2 component connections, 3 S-video connections, 3 composite AV connections, SC memory card slot, 2 HDMI connections and a built in ATSC tuner for receiving on-the-air hi-def channels. It also has a very good support for viewing digital photographs using the memory card slot. The pros of the Panasonic TH-42PX60U are many, but the notable ones are the high picture quality form 720p sources, easy to set up and intuitive menu navigation and a very competitive price in addition to the features mentioned above. The downside of this TV is that it needs a minor tweak of picture setting to get it perfect and a poorly written manual that is made up by a good menu system. These downsides can be ignored if you are looking at real value for your hard earned money.
